Prince Giraffe


Once upon a time, there lived a poor girl called Mia. She lived in an old shack with her younger sisters called Shela and Maya. Her parents had died long ago because of a boat crash. To finance her live every day, she worked at a large farm owned by wealthy merchant.
One day, when she was bathing the cattle, suddenly she remembered,”oh no, I forgot to cook lunch for shela and maya. They must be hungry”,having said that, Mia saw a cloud of smoke from a distance. With anxious feelings, she run to find out where the smoke was coming from. After arrived at the smoke was coming, her fears had come true. An old shack where she lives, destroyed by fire. Shela and Maya rescued. They cried. Mia doesn’t know will stay where again.
Mia trying to calm Shela and Maya. Mia said,”Shela,Maya,don’t crying anymore. This is not your fault. We must be patient in dealing with this ordeal. Let’s go to the farm”. They obey Mia. In the farm, her master was surprised to see mia also bring shela and Maya to the farm. Her master said,”Mia, you usually don’t bring them here. Why did you bring them ?”,with fear Mia replied,”sorry sir, this morning my house was burned. So I brought them here. We had no place to live anymore.” He was sorry to hear the story of Mia. He said,”Mia,you and your sisters can stay in my house, but you also have to keep working,” heard about it, Mia very happy and agreed.
On a cold night, Mia went to the cowshed because she left her jacket there. Suddenly, she saw her master walked into the woods. Mia followed him quietly. Having arrived in the woods, Mia saw her master crying and speaking in front of a giraffe. Mia hear that conversation,”my son, forgive me. Until now,father can’t find a girl who can make a magic food, so you can become a human again,” Mia surprised to hear about it. She didn’t expect that her master had children in the form of a giraffe. When Mia went to go home, her master realizes that Mia hear their conversation. Her master said,”Mia,I actually had a boy, but he turned into a giraffe by eating miracle fruit. He can only become human again when eating magical foods made by a girl.” Mia sorry to hear that. She find out what the magic food recipes.
The next day, Mia continues to find out what the magic recipe. She asked everyone, but no one knows. Until the one night,Mia dreamed. In her dream, she met a man. The man said,”Mia, help me. The food is actually a miracle food that is made with love. Please help me.” When the man finished speaking, Mia awoke. Mia did what he had to say. When cooking is finished, he went into the woods to meet the giraffe. She immediately gave him a meal. Few minutes later, the giraffe was transformed into a handsome man. The man said,”thank you for helping me Mia.” Suddenly the man asked Mia to go home.
When he got home, the man immediately went to see his father. His father was surprised. His father is very happy. Suddenly, he was kneeling,and saying,”Mia,thank you for helping me. My name Raze, the son of your master. When I first saw you, I’ve liked you. Will you marry me ?”,Mia surprised and very happy. Mia finally married with Raze. And Mia’s life was a happy ending.

Chap Goh Meh

colorfulidea.blogspot.com          There is a Chinese festival day called Chap Goh Meh Day. It represents the fifteenth and final day of the Chinese New Year. It is occasion of the first full moon of the Chinese New Year. This festival also celebrated as the lantern festival, which is the children go out at the night to the temple carrying paper of lanterns and solve the riddles on the lanterns .


           Chap Goh Meh is marked by feasting and various festivities, including the consumption of basket cake. Basket cake was used as an offering to spirits, just before Chinese New Year until the day of Imlek. As an offering, this cake should not be eaten until Chap Goh Meh.

           The lantern festival is a festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the Chinese New Year, and the last of the Chinese New Year celebration.


          In ancient times, the lanterns were simple. It's only for the emperor and noblemen. In modern times, the lanterns have many complex designs, like a shape of animals.


          The lantern festival also similar with valentine's day. In same countries, this festival also regarded as the chinese version of valentine's day for celebrating love and affection between lovers in chinese culture.
